Hosted by Eddie and Glen. The French have had a long-standing love of jazz and in this episode of the Audio Archive we dive into the Essential Jazz series of compilations. Taking a selection from the 20+ CDs collected by my father we explore jazz through French ears. We take tracks from Brasiliana, Cinema Jazz, Electric Jazz and the incomparable voice of Billie Holiday.

Hosted by Glen and Eddie. John Cale has had a 50+ year career in music, beginning with his stint as a founding member of the Velvet Underground. His subsequent solo career has covered a vast number of musical forms and styles, but he always has something interesting to say and a unique way of saying it. In this show we present tracks from the solo albums Paris 1919, Slow Dazzle and Sabotage Live! We also feature the albums Songs For Drella (with Lou Reed) and June 1 1974 (with Kevin Ayers and Brian Eno). Listen to an hour of diverse and challenging music.

Hosted by Eddie and Glen. Jim Capaldi was an English rock musician and singer-songwriter. A founding member of the epochal group Traffic along with Steve Winwood he had a more than four decade career in music. Notably once Traffic broke up he did not form or join another band, instead carving out a solo career. In this episode we play tracks from the classic Traffic album John Barleycorn Must Die and selections from Oh, How We Danced, The Contender, Short Cut Draw Blood and Fierce Heart.
