The Truth About Waste to Energy

The proposed $200 million Waste to Energy facility for Te Awamutu has become a controversial issue. In order to clear up the misconceptions, fear and confusion I talked with a leading authority on Waste To Energy incineration – Professor Marco Castaldi of the City College of New York and the team behind Paewera – Craig Tuhoro, Adam Fletcher and Amanda Waitere. I've written about Waste to Energy for the Waikato Times, The Cambridge News and the Te Awamutu News and this has brought me to the attention of Don't Burn Waipa, the group opposed to Paewera. Due to the derogatory tendencies of their communications and their predilection for misinformation and disinformation I decided not to include them in this podcast feature. Regardless, I have made a concerted effort to address their claims and concerns.
