Week of Prayer for World Peace - with David and Sandra Brown Carr

Around the world there's one thing that all people yearn for, although it’s called by many different names: Peace. 2025 was the 51st year that the Week of Prayer for World Peace was celebrated around the world, including here in Hawke’s Bay. On the 1st of November, more than 100 people came together at St Matthew’s Church, Hastings, for an interfaith peace service. The participants included: Baha’is, Buddhists, Christians, Hindus, Muslims, and Sikhs. No doubt in the audience there were those of other faiths, and people with no particular faith. For their final programme for 2025 to mark the Week of Prayer for World Peace, David and Sandra are pleased to bring you some highlights from that Interfaith service. Music in the show came from Queen, and from the children’s choir of St Matthew’s Church.
